Classic Movies Part 2

Hello Homosapiens,
Now I spent most of my lunch break today at work finishing this up for y'all so here we go the last 4 films of my classics this month. I really am sorry i haven't been around but as you know by now i have team up (Like the X-Men) with my home girl Mz Storm. She has already written some reviews on some badass films, check it out. lets get to my classics now.

Gia 1998
Fact-based story of a top fashion model Gia Marie Carangi (Played by the one and only sexiest thick lipped female Angelina Jolie) follows her life from a rebel little tom-boy (And she wasn’t always) working in her father's diner at age 17 to her death in 1986 at age 26 from AIDS. One of the first women in America whose death was attributed to the deadly life taking disease. In between, she followed a devilish downward spiral of drug abuse and failed relationships with both sexes (Such a beautiful hussy).

Return to oz 1985
It has been six months since Dorothy has returned to Kansas from Oz and she still cannot sleep for some reason (I wouldn’t either The Wizard of Oz was mad trippy). She has been going on about imaginary places and people so much that Aunt Em takes her to see a doctor (Well the EYFS and National curriculum states we should allow children to express themselves through role, Aunt Em is stifling her creativity.). Dorothy escapes from the mental hospital with this other blonde chick helping her (I think she drowns, bless her cotton socks.) and wakes up in Oz where her chicken can now talk. There she meets a whole new click of friends and they set off to rescue the Scarecrow from an evil Gnome King who has found her Ruby Slippers and has used them to lay havoc, misery and waste to the Emerald city and take over Oz.

Flight of the Navigator 1986
A 12-year-old boy goes missing in 1978, only to come back again once more in 1986. In the eight years that have passed, David hasn't aged (now don’t we all wished we had that talent?). It is no coincidence that at the time David 'comes back’; a flying saucer is found, entangled in electricity cables. Fun film and when I was younger it was one of my favorites. I did have to watch it more than once as I remember falling asleep due to late night watching. Perfect kids film and family film.

The Goonies 1985
Two brothers whose family is preparing to move because developers want to build a golf course in the place of their neighborhood, unless enough money is raised to stop the construction of the golf course (Original? It’s happening still), and that's quite doubtful. But when Mikey coincidently stumbles upon a treasure map of the Great "One-Eyed" Willy's hidden fortune, Mikey, Brandon, and their friends "Chunk", "Mouth", Andrea "Andy", Stefanie "Stef" Steinbrenner, and "Data", calling themselves The Goonies, set out on a long quest to find the treasure in hopes of saving their neighborhood. The treasure is in a cavern, but the entrance to the cavern is under the house of evil thief Mama Fratelli and her sons Jake Fratelli, Francis Fratelli, and I think The Hunchback of Norte Dames disfigured twin brother "Sloth". Sloth however is one of the good guys as you will see you haven’t already seen this film, which would make you obviously not an 80’s or earlier child. I had so much funny Saying “Heyyyyy you Guuuuuyyyyysssssssssss” when I was younger. And still now.

So Dudes and Dudettes go check out these films as soon as you can, or click on the links to purchase your own fab films to add to your own Roguelicious DVD and Blu-ray collections.

Movies 2011 Reviews

I have joined forces with Rogue to give you lovely readers my reviews on the latest movies seen and due to come out.

So lets start with the film ' I Spit on Your Grave'. (18)
Ratings: 

Plot: Sarah Butler plays A young woman, and a writer goes out into the woods to a secluded cabin to, of course write. (real original I hear you say) Anyway along the way she stops off at a gas station where a group of young lads (Hilly billies) take notice and try to chat her up. She gives them a knock back and then things take off from there and her life is turned upside down.....

My Verdict: The acting is not the greatest but the gore and the revenge that takes place is really good.
I enjoyed it. Go watch. out on DVD.

I Spit on Your Grave Trailer:

2. The Resident (15) - In cinema's 11th march 2011
Ratings: 

Plot: A doctor (Hillary Swank) is forced to move on with her life and relocate due to her boyfriend cheating on her with another woman. She finds herself an apartment to rent at a cheap price and a friendly landlord.Well, thats what she thinks. Turns out this landlord has an unhealthy obsession with her and will do anything to be with her.

My Verdict: I thought it was an ok film. Hillary Swank tries to play a sexy character in some parts and lets face it, she cant do sexy, she is NOT seen that way. ( the shower scene)
The best thing about the film is the trailer.
Its not a film I would rush out to see so maybe wait til it hits DVD. This is no million dollar baby.

The resident Trailer:

3. Faster  (15) - In cinema's 25th March 2011
Ratings: 

Plot: The rock or Dwayne Johnson seeks revenge on the murder of his brother after a bank robbery goes wrong and find themselves being robbed. After doing a spell in jail he comes out with unfinished business.

My verdict: This is what a revenge movie should be, barely any talking, pure action from start to finish, suspense and to the point.
The ending is left with an act of mercy. Can you smell what the Rock is cooking? (LOL)
A classic revenge flick with a twist. Go see this one if you love some action.

Faster Trailer:

AND LASTLY...

4. Unknown - In cinema's  March 4th 2011
Ratings:  (it would be a 2 and a half but my computer doesn't do halves)

Plot: The plot is like a mash up of long kiss goodnight mixed with the Bourne trilogy. Man loses his memory and what he does remember doesn't make any sense to him. Of course theres help from a stranger where he soon discovers everything he thought he knew was all just a lie.

My Verdict: Felt like I've seen this film before. Not as action packed as the Bourne movies or any humour from Long kiss. Again, not a film I would rush out to go see but if you so happen to be passing a cinema with nothing to do then it will fill your time.

Unknown 2011 Trailer:

Thats all for now on the movie reviews. Hope you enjoyed.

Classic Movies (Part 1)

From Dusk till Dawn

This has been a long time favourite film of mine and is if you don't know has become a cult classic as well as a classic in my collection. Full of outlandish ideas and strong adult language I saw this film way before I was meant to in the comfort of one of my older cousins. Now being certificate 18, back when I saw the film when I was 14, it no wonder I now use the language I use as it was something I was accustomed to anyway.

From the same creators of Pulp fiction and Desperado, is this beautiful fucking masterpiece, that isn't exactly Oscar material but it's a good damn action, thriller, maybe horror to some.
It starts of with two brothers, George Clooney and Quentin Tarantino, set out on some bust at a gas station. Now Tarantino's character is fucking deluded and deranged and I'm sure the film also was meant to imply he had some sort of mental personality disorder which you see straight of in the film. Clooney the level head one of the brothers, is a sexy as he wants to be (My first real crush on a white guy to be honest), he's a bad boy that every dudette or dude would happily let him into their panties.
So the brothers are on a mission to get to mexico, but because they're wanted by the police and the death toll is rising because of unstable Tarantino, they have to find their way safely across the border. Entrance for Juliette Lewis (Natural Born Killers), her  ex-preacher Father and her half Chinese younger brother. The family are staying riding around in a motorhome and they have stopped at a motel, the same motel that the criminal brothers have checked into. Clooney engages with them whilst Tarantino murders yet another poor and innocent woman (I'm not really sure if she did ask for it but hey with out the death there'd be no story).

So anyway Homosapiens, the brothers highjack the ex-preacher and his families motorhome (keeping them hostage as the father drives) and they all set out to cross the border to mexico. In their success they head to the TITTY TWISTER. A pub/bar for truckers and bikers all in leather and rugged, basically so full of testosterone i'm surprised the women didn't have muscles too.  This is where another story begins, one I wasn't expecting in the least on my first watch. Sex jilted with blood and gore is to come and the death of a Queen too (No not a fag but a real Queen) once the they settle into their surroundings they soon discover that the club they are in is far from a safe haven for criminals. It's bloodthirsty clientele and residents forces the brother to team up and almost befriending their hostages to get the fuck out alive of the TITTY TWISTER.
